GrandKids Gifts is committed to keeping your information private and minimal. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Email address, only if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter or use a feature that requires it.
  • Gift finder selections, which are stored in your browser's local storage so your next visit remembers saved grandchild profiles. We do not send this data to our server.
  • Email contents, if you write to us.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage. GA4 is configured with IP anonymization where applicable.
  • Affiliate click tracking — when you click a product link, we log the click (product slug, destination, timestamp) for performance analytics. We don't track you across other sites.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data to third parties.
  • We don't use cross-site tracking cookies or pixels.
  • We don't require account creation. Everything on the site is accessible without one.
  • We don't run intrusive retargeting ads based on your browsing history.

Cookies

We use a small set of first-party cookies and localStorage entries:

  • silver-theme — remembers your night-mode preference.
  • Gift finder local storage — remembers saved grandchild profiles.
  • GA4 cookies — for analytics (you can opt out via browser settings or Google's opt-out).

Email newsletters

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email and any preferences you provide are stored in our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, and we'll delete your subscription data on request.

Your rights

You can:

  • Request what data we have about you
  • Request deletion of any data we have about you
  • Opt out of our newsletter at any time
  • Clear the gift finder's local storage by clearing your browser's site data

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days. Material changes will be communicated to newsletter subscribers.
